Fernet-Branca is an bitter liqueur (Amaro), created in Milan, Italy in 1845. The digestif is produced according to an original recipe created by Bernandino Branca and includes 27 ingredients, originating from four continents. The liqueur has a lower sugar content and higher alcohol content than most Amaros and is produced at 39 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). Like most bitters Fernet-Branca is claimed to have medicinal properties and health benefits.

A base of sugary citrus and a crescendo earthy and herbal bitterness with hints of tobacco, chocolate, and caramel culminating in a bitter mentholated finish.
